Linkin Park

I don't feel like writing anything serious, so I'll just continue here some of the disscussion I had on one of my pics.

Breaking the habit:

Although Chester Bennington sings it he did not write it, Mike Shinoda wrote it before he met Chester. But even though, Chester is known to become very emotional with this song (he refuses to sing it in public).

In a way I understand this, the song talks about the depression the guy is in (supposedly Chester) and how he will solve it. The actual solution is not explained in the song, but we can guess that the guy commits suicide (" I'll never be alright So, I'm breaking the habit") the video clip also shows how Chester jumps off a roof to his death.

Chester was in a similar situation before he joined Linkin Park. He had a choice to make, the song depicts an alternative choice that he made, instead of picking himself up he let himself fall down.

Only a short while ago I was at a similar crossroad. I had the option of letting my past effect my future, or blocking my past and starting anew. Well, I'm trying to start anew, and one of the steps in doing this is finding people who know what I'm talking about and can help me reach my goals and dreams. Let us all break the habit imposed on us by others and let us start creating our own habits that will only empower us and help us achieve our goals.

Somewhere I belong

One of my favourate songs, all time top ten. Only a short while ago I felt exactly like this song. I still do. I spent a few weeks sneaking out of my home just to wander the streets late at night, looking for something real in my life (don't worry, no drugs and stuff). Eventualy I picked myself up, I'm still picking myself up ;)

I suppose thats what we all are looking for after all- somewhere to belong to. Today, thanks to the internet, everyone can find a small comunity of people who feel and think like them. Of course I doubt I'll find anyone just like me, but they're still out there.

But you must remember, ifyou don't find a place to belong to make one yourself! Infact, that is basicly what everyone should do, make they're own religion, philosophy ideaology and life ethics. Each one of us starts with scratch and must work up from there.

Ok, so this was a bit heavier than "not series", but who cares? Coming soon, my interpretation of the Illuminati, the pyramid and the all seeing eye!
